Adventure Challenge – Valentine’s Day S’mores

Wondering how to keep your relationship fresh and fun? Stumped for date ideas this Valentine's Day? We recommend The Adventure Challenge!
This book, the couples edition, is filled with inventive date ideas that range in price, setting, and time commitment, giving you and your boo opportunities to reconnect with a romantic activity.

This Valentine's Day, Brandon and I scratched off "The Great Indoors" date idea, involving s'mores, a pillow fort, and our friends Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal romcom.
Of course, I had to take some pictures to commemorate the fun, and built an impressive candy charcuterie board because I never do things halfway! All in, baby!

The Great Indoors
Collect all the supplies needed for making s'mores. Next, gather all the blankets and pillows that you can find. Spend some time building the perfect (or not so perfect) blanket fort. After you've built your blanket fort, make s'mores and watch a movie. Google "top 10 romantic movies" and pick from this list.
Cost: $5-10
Setting: Evening
Time: 3-4 hours

Our living room, before and after the pillow fort adventure. How did we do? Watch the 45 second video below to see a quick time-lapse of us creating this masterpiece.

Yes, charcuterie board #2, why not? I just love showing off my pineapple serving trays!

He's so handsome 🙂

First big bite!

We'll never top this photo! Definitely using it for our Christmas card this year. So romantic.

What is your favorite chocolate to use for s'mores? We used these Theo Chocolate squares with English toffee bits, and dark chocolate Ghirardelli squares with caramel in the middle. A little fancier than Hershey's chocolate, and worth every bite!

Gotta sneak in some pineapple bowls for this festive occasion.
