Best Drinks and Decor at Santa Baby Bar Chicago

Gaudy. Over the top. More ornaments than you've ever seen in one place. Welcome to Santa Baby Bar.
Located on Clark Street in Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood, this seasonal hotspot is just steps away from iconic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Step into a North Pole wonderland of lights, parachuting Santas, and kitshy decor fit for a special holiday celebration with friends.

Photo ops abound inside and outside the bar.

You can even have your photo taken with Santa himself! He seemed surprised to see me.

Enjoy a cold cocktail in a cozy booth or at a high table.

Christmas-themed libations come in all flavors and colors, like the Red Nose Rudolph, made with vodka, peach schnapps, Sprite, and cranberry Red Bull.

Click here to view the full holiday drink menu, including favorites such as the "Christmas Vacation" Mai Tai, "Merry Mojito," "Yule Mule" Moscow Mule with a Christmas cranberry twist, mango and orange "Jungle Juice," "The Clausmo" cosmopolitan, and sparkling "Moët Mistletoe" topped with sour gummy bears.

But you have to try the bright blue "Jack Frost" made with vodka, coconut puree, pineapple juice, blue liqueur, and coconut berry Red Bull with a flaky coconut rim and stick of blue rock candy. So yummy.
Please excuse the crazy, early-2000s camera angle; this is a strategic crop.

I love the snowy little Christmas village behind the bar.

For a non-alcoholic treat, try one of these over-the-top milkshakes, studded with candy and cookies around and inside the glass.

Santa's Snack Shack menu captures all the favorites, from mini corn dogs and tacos to beef sliders with red and green buns, made to look like ornaments. For a larger group, splurge on this giant Bavarian pretzel.

Hundreds of parachuting Santas dangle from the ceiling, on their way to deliver presents to little girls and boys.

Apparently it takes an army to get the job done!

My forever Christmas date.

What easier way to decorate than with vintage Christmas sweaters pinned to the walls?

Another photo op with Santa in his lit-up convertable.

They're enjoying a Merry Mojito muddled with mint, sugar cane, lime, cranberry, and Cruzan rum.

Can't forget the vintage Christmas decor, like this ladder-climbing Santa, collection of elves, snow globes, and a scheming Grinch face.

They even remembered to honor Hanukkah with this fuzzy tribute tucked in the corner. Speaking of, click to my next blog post to see several other holiday-themed bars across Wrigleyville, including 8 Crazy Nights, a very blue bar exclusively celebrating Hanukkah, in honor of Brandon's heritage.
