Tasty Tapas at Prova California Table
"Prova" - Italian word meaning "to try" or "to taste" (provamorganhill.com)
From the same Michelin star chef who brought you elevated Mediterranean soul food cuisine at Odeum comes Prova California Table in the heart of downtown Morgan Hill, California. Brandon and I visited this airy spot on our wedding anniversary this year, on a quiet Tuesday evening, the perfect setting for sneaking some blog photos. We were impressed by the wide-ranging menu, all at satisfying tapas sizes. I always prefer to order 3-5 smaller dishes in a sitting for a shared flavor journey, instead of one filling main course that may or may not wow me. Bring on the adventure!
We loved the food and the quirky decor, featuring lovely ladies who watch approvingly as you eat.
We ordered several small plates to experience together, starting with the Baked Brie, then on to the Chorizo Nachos (green onion, oaxaca cheese, chorizo sausage, cheddar, pico de gallo, olives, crema, black beans, homemade salsas) and Lobster & Shrimp Salad Sliders, before finishing with the Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding.

Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding (golden raisins, macadamia nuts, warm caramel, vanilla gelato, whipped cream, fresh berries, edible flower)
Open air seating - the accordion windows fold to the side to let the evening breeze in.
